Robin look like some idiot:
1) Not only her Giant clone was useless she kept it around and let Black Maria beat her with no reason
2) She knew Fishman Karate all along but never tried to use a shockwave against Black Maria
3) She herself admit to lower her gourd for no reason as exuse for all the beating she got
4) She only tried to snap Black Maria body at the end of the fight even though it was her siginiture move pre-TS; all she tried is bitch slap Black Maria and her slaps were weak (no shockwaves)

Yeah I think it's Oda's doing as he would not have let the fight be concluded too soon and even now we are probably still missing a consistent part.

Robin is a smart person so it makes little sense indeed.

What I'm mostly disappointed about relates to the lack of CoA of several SHs regardless. I expected better on that frontier.

LoL, Robin is having a flashback about Sabo and Koala for the sake of powering up and defeat Black Maria and you guys are complaining

It feels like:
Robin slaps the shit out of Black Maria straight away --> "Fodder 6" "LoL what a disappointment with the F6"

Robin struggles, gets helped by Brook at some moments and powers up in the middle of the fight --> "Robin is so weak and lame"

This one has an obvious explanation. Robin simply doesn't have the physical strength to do with BlackMaria the way she does the randons, so she needs to create a much larger amount of limbs to have enough power to strangle a physically strong opponent.

And Robin from the beginning had been trying to find openings to be able to corner and arrest Black Maria. But tobiroppo was very versatile and its web powers were very problematic.

you are right @Le Fishe D. Crydo. Oda never was good in making fight but this arc doesn't have sense:
1) kinemon and kiku can cut kaido
2) sanji can fight against hybrid queen
3) Robin has adv coa but she doesn't use it before
