Character Discussion Opinion: Oda made a mistake creating the celestial dragons because they make the navy too evil

The Celestial dragons in One are all pretty terrible and awful POS's and they demonstrate that literally every single time they are on screen.

Part of the reason why they are capable of getting away with their monstrosities is because the navy protects them.

That makes the navy evil because they protect evil people and allow them to do evil than they are evil.

To make matters worse there are "good people" in the navy like Garp,Coby,Smoker,Tashigi and Aokiji but if they are in an organisation which helps protect evil people then they are not good people.

"But Aokiji left the navy" Yes after being salty he dint get to become fleet Admiral even if he beat Akainu and became Fleet Admiral I heavily doubt he'd do away with the Celestial Dragons or even dare think he'd have the authority to do that.

"But maybe they didn't know about the Celestial Dragons when they joined the navy and maybe they can't leave cause they would be executed" Aokiji and Dragon both left the navy and nothing happend to them .

Garp is by far the worst example of this as he was angry Dragon became a revolutionary, like bro all your son wants to do is end slavery is that really something to be angry about?

"But Garp took down the Admiral position because he dint want to be a lapdog to the Celestial Dragons" Yes and his reason makes no sense considering we saw Marines who were nowhere near Admiral rank like Dragon forced to protect Celestial Dragons.

"But they want to protect innocent civilians from evil pirates" if they protect Celestial dragons who exterminate an island every 3 years than they do not care about innocent civilians.

And the part about evil pirates although while true there are plenty of evil Pirates in One Piece like Kidd you do not even have to be a marine to capture them you could be a bounty hunter instead.

In fact The Celestial Dragons are not even necessary to portray the Marines as an evil organisation remember Robin's backstory when they commited mass murder and genocide literally because some scholars where researching information forbidden literally because the world Government said it is he could still portray them as the bad guys without going overboard with how evil they are.

There more I think about the Celestial Dragons and how much they suck the more I think that if One Piece was realistic the Marines's number would be 0.

Now seriously why would anyone want to be a marine in universe?

You have to be a lapdog to the Celestial Dragons who nobody likes, you have to follow strict orders and even you become an Admiral or Fleet Admiral you would still remain an subordinate.

And the part about catching Pirates as I said before bounty hunter could do that not to mention I heard once that bounty hunters get all the award of the the pirate they catch while marines cannot claim bounties.

Why would anyone be a soldier or a marine in our universe?

If you understand how dirty and corrupt politics is, you will never fight for a noble cause.

People work for the army and the navy because it is a stable job. You get a paycheck every month and you can maintain your family

Oda made a giant mistake making the government cartoonishly, inhumanely, and totally evil.

Now, clearly, all good characters working for the WG or being part of the WG look like shit since they work for literal demons.

It has no sense at all, and so Oda has to make up sorry excuses that no one really buys.
One of the Three Great Unifiers of Japan was a guy who called himself the Demon King, burned Buddhist temples with people inside of them and gilded an enemy's skull to make a drinking cup out of it.

People need to understand that Oda, whether he’s utterly incapable of conceiving nuances or he just doesn’t want to, conceive things solely in extreme terms, thus good people will be absolutely good and bad people absolutely bad.
I don’t like it, I actually hate it, but that’s how it is: one has to accept the bad to enjoy the good things…

Garp quote to Roger was hilarious "without me who would protect the marines?

He might as well have said without him how could the marines genocide entire islands, commited mass slaughter of pregnant women (Ace's backstory) and protect slavers and rapists like the celestial dragons
