While I understand that you guys have probably decided against the idea of ratings to maintain a positive environment, I think it should still be optional at the very least. As a fellow theorist, my goal here is very simple: feedback. I already know my own ideas and how I feel about them, but I come here and publish my ideas to get other peoples' perspectives on them and promote discussion. Whether it's positive or negative, criticism is always something I look forward to when I post a theory, and while I know I don't speak for everyone, I'm sure there are a fair amount of people that would agree.

That being said, I understand that this opens the possibility to negative reviews and trolling, which is why I am suggesting it as an optional setting. Maybe a new "prefix" (the thing to the left of the title) that indicates whether or not you want to be rated could be implemented, that way only the people that are willing to accept the possibility of negative reviews will be using it. I'm thinking of it kind of like gaming, where you only play a "ranked" game if you're willing to accept the possibility of losing rank, and playing a regular or practice mode otherwise. What do you think? I'm obviously asking for the staffs opinion, but I'd appreciate if some of the forum users and theorists weighed in their opinions as well.
