General & Others Paul Bunyan is one of the inspirations for Joyboy

Paul Bunyan was a mythical American hero, which fits since Luffy is based on journey to the west. Joyboy being the embodiment of a western hero is very fitting.

Many theorize Joyboy to be part of the Oars race, the Oars race were called continent pullers. In Paul Bunyan's lore he is a giant that shapes the landscape of the world, creates rivers, lakes, canyons, and mountains.

Paul Bunyan can make the things around him grow. Joyboy probably did this with his awakening on long ring long land causing everything to grow taller.

Some people believe the story of Paul Bunyan is based on the Jotuuns from Nordic Mythology. Which would also fit in One Piece since the giants of Elbaf are based on Nordic Mythology.

Oda draws a lot of inspiration from childhood stories. Such as where the wild things are which was partial inspiration for Imu. So it is very possible that Oda has read the story of Paul Bunyan. VTG 1955 Paul Bunyan Vintage PB Book First Edition Second Printing *Autographed | eBay

Paul Bunyan was also animated by Disney in 1958.

Paul Bunyan has ties to the Sun in some of his stories. The morning the sun refused to rise by Glen Rounds | Open Library

Though Paul Bunyan did have an Axe, a giant blue OX as a pet, and no strawhat. But Oars has horns that are similar to an OX (and yes he's an Oni) and he also had a sword which is similar to AXE. (Not to mention Luffy's gum gum axe attack)

If Joyboy is revealed to have an OX like or Blue companion that will confirm this theory.

In conclusion Joyboy is Paul Bunyan a mythological American hero of legend. Who can shape land with ease, like Luffy will be able to with Gear 5. Paul Bunyan is an immensely strong giant who can do ridiculous things. Oda loves bringing childhood stories and influences as inspiration for One Piece.

Nika was foreshadowed during Skypiea.
That's not foreshadow at all.

Nika has nothing to represent him being Sun God. There was no foreshadow about who he was or what his powers were.

Those Skypea gods are 0 related to Nika.

Luffy dancing at fireplace is not even similar to Sun God Nika.

Yes he introduced Sun God Nika with Who's Who but that is not foreshadow. It was what? 20-30 chapters before in the same arc, same Onigashima battle? This doesn't configures foreshadow. It was a retcon.

? Sun God has been planned since skypeia.

I didn't even mention Nika's name.

and planned when? He obviously planned it at some point. Probably around fishman island or earlier
Nika, JoyBoy all same shit.

Sun God wasn't planned since Skypea. It was planned since Who's Who. Skypea Gods have nothing to do with Nika. Nothin related to Fishman Island or earlier. Again he only planned with Who's Who. Maybe not even that, maybe only when Kaido said rubber doesn't work like that.
