So, yesterday I rewatched Phantom Blood with my girlfriend because she's never watched JoJo before. I was honestly surprised with how well it holds up even after watching it before and experiencing parts 2-8. Jonathan is still an extremely likeable MC, I love Zeppeli and Speedwagon, and Dio is such a hateable yet charming villain. The fights in Phantom Blood, while less weird and unique than other parts, were still really entertaining. Not to mention the soundtrack is still fantastic. I'm just confused on why people hate on this part so much. In my opinion it is far from boring and not even close to being a "bad part" like some people say. There isn't a bad part of JoJo and if there was Part 1 would definitely not be one of them. I seriously recommend rewatching (or reading) this part.
