King lost hype because hes getting schooled by 1 dude while also having help. We were expecting greatness like Katakuri but we havent got anything as hype or cool other than King kicking the ship off the waterfall. Marco then did the same thing which imo isnt as special as Kata's future sight.

King as a character and a fighter, no. He’s still Kaido’s number one guy and that carries with it a lot of respect. He’s not somehow weaker for not looking likely to fight Zoro.

Zoro vs King as a fight, yeah, the hype is lost there. Zoro can cut fire easily now, so that’s a big aspect of what would make Zoro vs King interesting gone. And we can tell the big conclusion to Zoro’s arc, and his main moment, will be against Kaido. Any fight with King will only be seen as a sideshow now.

If Oda wanted to hype Zoro vs King, it should have been Zoro vs King first, Zoro learns to cut fire, Zoro struggles to control Enma, then he moves on to Kaido afterwards. Kaido then King then Kaido again just naturally makes the King fight less interesting or important
