What if a clone can be made to be slightly different than the original - lets say: You want to make it taller, because you want the result to be able to fight with the advantage of their hight. Just make him/her taller. If you want to make their potential and proficiancy to fight greater, just design it that way. If you want the clone to look more /different/beautiful than the original, just do so.
