Poll sums it all up
Luffy's AdvCoC was the biggest asspull ever he literally got speedblitzed, knocked down and unable to move for at least 3 times on the rooftop with Zoro protecting and literally carrying him for most of the fight. Then he wakes up after getting knocked out by Kaido and bam! figures out the power to coat your techniques in CoC no build up no foreshadowing no nothing lmao after that he proceeds to get knocked out yet again this time in a 1v1 then eats some food comes back and starts splitting the skies, smh.... Horrible execution imo.
Robin's was meh.....fkn fishman karate lmao and a fanservice cover spread-inspired drawing. Jesus Christ.
Sanji's was the worst and cheapest Oda legit gave this guy power up after power up just so he could keep up in the New World since he's an under developed character who even needed his own arc where he fought and defeated nobody btw
I'll list his PUs:
- Raid suit that as soon as you put on it boosts your strenght, speed and durability. It also gives you fake invisibility.
- Exoskeleton which is basically like wearing a permanent raid suit but without the invisibility perk.
- Boosted speed thanks to Judge's genetically modified genes.
- Brand new hotter and electromagnetic DJ technique that he would have never been able to use without the exoskeleton durability boost.
All of this, with no haki or even regular training whatsoever it was all about Judge's science and genetical augmented genes. The definition of a power up, folks.
Nami's kinda meh as well it's just Big Mom's df ability on a thunder cloud. Let's see what happens when Big Mom gets defeated...
Zoro's was just beautiful he was the first man to ever use the concept of haki in this series he used observation, armament and conquerors (unconsciously) pretimeskip. Asura was said by Kaku to be "the manifestation of his sheer will" and Kaido then acknowledged the technique as AdvCoC. The foreshadowing was always there.
The execution was absolutely fantastic....the tension and suspense, the enma acting up and holding Zoro back, the seriousness of fighting a literal invulnerable God who doesn't stab himself or waits until you learn future sight, the little swords flashbacks, the explanation of how committed and frightening swords and swordsmen are meant to be, Enma's creator and its connection to Zoro and the realization that you can weaponized your own fighting spirit and ambition (will) in the form of AdvCoC.
Beautifully executed by Oda here he was all along and still is saving the best fot the climax of the arc.
Most of y'all aren't ready for that uber epic holy shit panel with the Dragon getting beheaded over the flower capital by the swords of a monster samurai.
