Promotions

They are getting promoted 100%. If conquering a major state doesn't warrant a promotion I don't know what does.
That take is way off the mark, just because Qin conquered Han doesn’t mean Shin or the other two are guaranteed a promotion to Great General. Tou was the supreme commander of the campaign and will rightfully receive the lion’s share of the credit. More importantly, Han is the weakest of the Seven States and while its fall is historically significant, it doesn’t equate to a unprecedented military achievement, especially when these three acted only as deputy generals.

If anything it’s a stepping stone, let's not forget that Shin has fought in far more brutal campaigns like Gyou where the stakes were much higher and the opposition far stronger, Han battle doesn't really surpass that by a lot to warrant an even greater achievement. Promotions in Kingdom aren’t handed out for just showing up, yes he killed a commander in Haku Ou Koku, but it doesn't change much in grand scheme of things, just participation under a superior like Tou.

Shin, Ouhon and Mouten are more likely to become Great Generals after Zhao and Riboku defeat.

As of now, only four of the six Great General spots are filled, leaving only two open positions.

However, three spots are needed to ensure that Shin, Ouhon, and Mou Ten can all be appointed appropriately.

This would mean that either one of the current Great Generals would need to die or voluntarily step down, unless Ousen’s punishment for his recent failure results in his removal from his current position.

I think it goes without saying the unit leader days of the Q3 were a lot more fun and exciting in terms of their career progression.

Hara had to be a lot creative and detailed to express their impact on the grand warfare with small numbers.

We got to see consistent excellent writing as Shin journey saw him jump from the equivalent of Private to Captain > Major > LT Colonel > Colonel > Brigadier General

The actual General rank has been pretty lame by comparison imo.

I think it's possible to be GG and not 6GG just like zhao where we had empty 3GH seats and kochou didn't take any and was a normal GG
Wasn’t that only possible because the Six Great Generals system was essentially non-existent at that point, with Ouki being the only remaining member still alive at the time?

Now that the Six Great Generals system has been officially reestablished, the only way to fill the remaining spots is through direct promotion to Great General, since all of Qin’s current Great Generals are already part of the Six.

Qin Six GG and GG aren't the same.
