It's established in the introduction of the ability that black flash increases the impact of a reinforced hit to the 2.5th power:
Gege himself later doubles down on this:
Damage output being risen to the 2.5th power is a massive buff, and this becomes particularly obvious the higher the base of the exponent.
If the impact of a punch was rated as a 1, the black flash version of that punch would be 1^2.5 or 1.
If the impact of a punch was rated as a 4, the black flash version of that punch would be 4^2.5 or 32.
If the impact of a punch was rated as a 10, the black flash version of that punch would be 10^2.5 or ~316.
This massive power increase as the base attack power increases is why one single black flash from Mahito did this to Todo who was reinforcing his stomach with all of cursed energy:
Now to Sukuna in the current manga
Say hypothetically that Sukuna was at roughly 10 fingers worth of power. The impact from his black flashes would be equivalent to getting punched by 316 finger Sukuna.
Does this seem consistent with what is actually being shown?
Larue (a first grade sorcerer) and Choso both eat a black flash and are able to walk after it.
Maki takes no damage from TWO of Sukuna's black flashes.
Do these characters look like they just got punched by the equivalent of a 316-finger Sukuna?
Hell no.
The obvious explanation is that these attacks are from a version of Sukuna so weak, that the black flashes probably don't even scale that much above basic reinforced punches from a 20F Sukuna.
The most consistent scale with the black flashes not turning everyone into mist is that the current Sukuna is around 5F or lower.
A black flash from 5F Sukuna would be equivalent to getting punched by over 50F Sukuna.
