there is a popular yokai that is said to eat dreams
the baku. quite similar to the qirin. both benevolant, both chimeras.
my own view is that wapol's df, baku baku no mi, was misnamed, like the nikafruit. it is actually the zou zou no mi, model baku.
the fruit is already about eating anything. anything material so far only, but perhaps awakening it would allow wapol to even it intangible things.
