Ranbihaku in Bananji's place (vs Ousen)

RanBiHaku definitely would have put more damage than what Banaji did. That man's strength is no joke. I believe he would only be slightly weaker than Tou.

forced the latter to retreat
Lol. Just take a read of that arc again and enjoy. You got confused here.

Ousen definitely moved came down but in front of Futei. Considering Futei's position, it's coming forward.

That's just semantics of the map. He retreated from Bananji because he couldn't stop him. Hara himself said Ousen underestimated Bananji's power and that it was overpowering, with Ousen's men all desperate for him to escape.

It's call switching positions or move away while retreat is going backwards or leave the battlefield. Reading the first post it was like Banaji forced him to retreat from battlefield. If it's retreat than why move towards the direction where enemy is. Lol

In case of retreat than the best situation was when Riboku left right after Shin killed Houken which happened where his HQ was. Ousen's men were saying about moving away while Riboku’s men were saying about retreat.

He retreated away from that spot because the Bananji onslaught was too powerful for him to stop (Futei also a problem). Which is both very impressive (look at how much Hara emphasises Bananji's might on 615 i believe, from the POV of kaine, futei, ousen soldiers and narrator notes), but this also kinda to be expected since there were smaller numbers which would suit Bananji.

So it was a feat of Bananji's offensive might.

He can't replicate the same feat.

Ranbihaku ~ Gyou'un ~ Day 1-12 Shukain Plains Bananji, if going by just his stat. Since there's no direct or indirect comparison through other characters to be made about Ranbihaku.

Day 13th Bananji, when he started to get serious, stands level(s) above the 3 mention above. So he won't be able to replicate the same feat. He'd still be able to do damage to the Ousen HQ though.

Bananji was nowhere near as impressive as Gyou'un in the first 12 days though? He stalemated Akou (91), he struggled with Ouhon and he couldn't even break through the Akou-less Akou army.

We could debate Ranbihaku, but if we are to assume he is close to Gyou'un in an offensive manner, then Bananji needs to be in whatever frame of mind he was in against the Ousen army or he is not at their level at all?
