If you think about it, a weapon from vegapunk is probably the rarest you can get in the world of onepiece, even cp-0 doesnt have this privilege, only few who actually gotten a unique weapon that vegapunk actually did.

I think Oda introduce us to Vegapunk before the real battle begins is for the strawhats to get their ultimate weapons, what i mean about that is that this is their last upgradable weapons(no more upgrade after this), im talking about ussopp, nami, and franky and chopper here, whatever knowledge or weapon they will get they will surely get strong here.
For example of this is
1. ussopp - vegapunk could make ussopp a weapon that could actually hit very hard but not actually kill a human but hurts a lot it means he could go all out without actually killing anyone but they could get knocked down and his potential would be limitless if vegapunk gave a weapon!
2. Nami’s batton could be enough to actually make a better version of what big mom did here, maybe way way better.. enough to shock anybody a type of weapon for defense and offense that if you pissed nami off you know its over
3. Chopper’s rumble ball ultimate version that without any risk! not only his rumble ball would get its ultimate version but also Choppers df could unlock its true potential if it comes into a fight.
4. Of course Franky - knowledge and upgrade to his whole body, like seraphim and maybe even more better…
and maybe Vegapunk could actually unlock’s Sanji’s true potential as a vinsmoke…
there’s a lot of possibilities, since all of these was known to be something that Vegapunk does which is crazy because it somehow connected to the strawhats in a way
What if vegapunk is the stepping way for luffy to actually fullfill his promise to shanks that one day he will find a crew that will surpass shank’s crew? in fact maybe this arc we wont see zoro sanji or even luffy fight anybody! Because this arc is about the crew members and how vegapunk’s help can actually help luffy to become the king of the pirates?
