Theory Reason why 5 elderz keep calling humans insects πŸœπŸ›πŸ¦Ÿ..

First, let me show you an approximate illustration of the One Piece world:

The One Piece world we've seen so far is a world created by Imu. It consists of a flat landmass covered by a massive artificial dome. This world is a small flat landmass located on a massive spherical Earth. It has a fake sun and moon, along with artificial weather and sky. You can think of this world as being covered by a solid dome, a massive cage where Imu traps everyone, making them unable to leave..

The reason the Five Elders keep calling humans "insects" is because the Five Elders and Imu-sama are giants, and other humans look tiny compared to them..

This will be revealed at some point later in the manga.

The Five Elders aren't easy to defeat and will show their true potential later in the manga. Being gigantic is one of their potentials, and their giant size will be astonishing.

Imu the Giant:

Imu is the most giant creature, even the giants of Elbaf look smaller than him. But this only applies inside the world he created. This symbolizes that Earth is way bigger than the sun (which is why the artificial sun inside Imu's world looks small)..

Teh Real Giant:

But once Luffy breaks the dome and frees himself and other inhabitants from Imu's world, Luffy will become so giant that Imu himself will look like an insect compared to him. This happens when Luffy sees the real sun in the sky and how the world stretches bigger in front of his eyes when seeking true freedom. This symbolizes the sun's supremacy and its majesty being far greater than Earth..

It will be amazing to see this in the manga.

It makes perfect sense.

Post automatically merged:

He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth,
and its people are like grasshoppers.
He stretches out the heavens like a canopy,
and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

Brillant quote
Yeah he might actually be cooking with that, if that wasn't there I would have thought it to be garbage as well like a person above said.

Found some other interesting verses as well. The Numbers in Wano could be a reference to Numbers in the bible.

and Psalm 2:4 "Laugh" was interesting to me. "He Laughed" possibly being a reference to Imu in the Empty throne. Imagine if the 1st time we see Imu's face he laughs.

Numbers 13:33
And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Psalm 2:4
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

Every Celestial Dragon treats lesser races as insects, not only the Elders, e.g. in chapter 763, a citizen says the Celestials treat them as such. It's also not something specific of Celestials, since other people like Mihawk or even Dragon have used the "insect" insult against those who they consider their inferiors in terms of strength, morals or so.
