Here this is not only a fight thread but also a character comparison thread.
Here I wanted to compare both Riboku and Yang because I think they have some things in common :
The Geniuses :
Lets begin by the obvious and the part I won't develop here (this will be better to talk about that in the fighting part).
Both Riboku and Yang are the greatest general of their times, tactic/strategy and war in general they are the best.
Riboku is considered the greatest general, from Ouki death onward he is the greatest strategic mind of the field. His abilities are recognized by all. He is not invincible and can lose too but he is god damn smart. There are great generals who are close to Riboku but no one is on his level for now.
Yang too is the greatest of his time. Yes Reinhard "won" but Yang was the best. And except Reinhard, Yang was the greatest mind at war by a good margin compare to others. Reuenthal, Kirsheis, Mittermeyer etc were all good but Reinhard and Yang were on their own world, and here I think Yang hold a slight advantage.
Not helped :
Both Riboku and Yang were the greatest and yet they lost.
A Good part of why, is because their side didn't really help them to win and that the other side was way better organized / supportive.
Yang is on the democracy side. Yes democracy is all and good but during Yang time the government overall and Trunicht were not helpful at all. Times and times again they made bad choices and Yang had to fight stronger and better foes. The politic side of the democracy really hindered Yang prowess and asked him to save the day again and again and used him as they please.
Riboku too wasn't really helped. His King is a lame ass human being, the Zhao court is also corrupt and wonky.
Yet both stayed true to their state/side. And kept fighting for what they think good. They didn't deflect.
The War opinion and life goal :
Both Yang and Riboku despise war. They prefer to avoid conflict and settle things the less death possible.
Riboku proved it durin his time in the North against the Xiongnu. Riboku managed to fight back the enemies while avoiding useless death and battles. He calmed down others who wanted to fight just for revenge or for the sake of fighting. Same against Ouki last soldiers, he didn't want Zhao soldiers to die useless deaths when they had clearly won already and accomplished their goals.
Yang is the same. He can't stand war and always see it at the last solution yet unavoidable. Yang prefers to retreat or ask for surrender any time he could. Wasting lives or commanders who wanted glory/bloodbath is all he alwats hated. Yang always has great speech about wars.
Both Riboku and Yang while the best at their craft ironically don't want to be/stay soldiers. They only crave for peaceful days, having a family, retire, and doing some easy work. Riboku wants to be a farmer and grow old, same Yang wants to be lazy, drink and teaching history.
Their side directly turned against them / lack of ambition :
Both Yang and Riboku saw their own side turning against them.
Riboku : Zhao king and court actively jailed him after Shukai plains battles. The King is a piece of shit and held Riboku accountable for everything even if he was their best chance at everything.
Even before, after the coalition arc they "banned" Riboku from the court and they put him in a farm while they monitored him.
Yang too once was put in jail by the government for "trying a coup". He was also asked to stay in his house monitored by the police for weeks.
And yet both managed to escape thanks to their loyal friends and start some civil war.
Yang and the irregulars left the planet alliance to hide. And Riboku left Zhao court and went seeking help in Seika and SHibashou.
Each time the best soldiers, generals, officers were on the side of Yang/Riboku and stayed faithful to them. They managed to attract the best of the best from their side.
And each time Riboku and Yang could have take the power for themselves and finally lead properly their kingdom/side. But they never had that ambition and never wanted that role.
Riboku wanted to do the right thing and put the child of the Zhao king on the throne. And Yang loved too much democracy to take power by force.
Their beliefs and opinions about the other side :
Both Riboku and Yang had beliefs and don't want to act/go against them.
Riboku is actively against the unification of China. He is a Zhao citizen and want to stay a Zhao citizen. He doesn't want an other nation overtaking "his" lands.
Same for Yang. Yang loves democracy and didn't want the empire to overtake the Free Planet alliance.
Yet both are admiring the other side leaders/kings. And a part of them would have been glad to be on the other side and fight under those leaders.
Yang was always impressed by Reinhard way of rulling, of his impressive skills, courage, leadership etc. Especially when he compared Reinhard to his own leaders...Yang when he met Reinhard said he would have been happy to have Reinhard as a leader. But he stayed true to his ideas.
Riboku too when he met Sei was impressed and said he was a great king and would have been glad to have a king like that. Yet Riboku didn't waver. And he saw with his own eyes how Sei behaved at the Sai battle etc. And once again when you compare Sei to Riboku own King....
Riboku and Yang also don't despise the other side generals and soldiers. They respect them, their abilities etc. They hold no hatred for the enemy. Countless times Yang said the Empire have really brave and skilled generals (Kirsheis, Reuenthal etc), and Riboku too praised some Qin men, doesn't hate Shin etc.

Round 1 : Yang is dropped in Kingdom world and has one week to understand the technology, armies, strength, land etc.
He has to fight Riboku : they both have 50K soldiers each and fight on neutral ground.
Round 2 : Riboku is dropped in LOTGH world and has one week to understand the technology, armies, strength, planets, atmosphere, space etc.
He has to fight Yang they both have 10k spaceships.
