Nah just wait until he starts punting 5 year olds in shackles on God Valley. We've yet seen him in a precarious situation where he might get lost in his own sauce and start swordblasting puppies for shits and giggles.
I admit Oda is leaving more interpretation to Rocks' character arc by not making him a 1-to-1 with Blackbeard or Luffy. Seems to honor his friend in Harald like Luffy would, while also treating his relationships with his crew as transactional like Blackbeard would, and fixating on his own ambition above all else like both would. Feels deliberate to lead readers in different directions. His true nature could be more conniving and grimy, or ambivalent and care-free. TBD.
