hello i just want to write my 4 am imagination here about ryokugyu possible inspiration,

Since oda based marine admirals on old famous japanese actor like bunta sugiwara, yusaku matsuda, kunie tanaka and shintaro katsu.

i am wondering if ryokugyu desain could be based on old famous japanese actor too. so i search some old actors to find some resemblance about ryokugyu design and i found this actor named yoshio harada

This is him from Ronin-gai (1990) and ready to shoot/Ware ni utsu yoi ari (1990
I think it's possible that oda would based ryokugyu on yoshio harada or this is just my imagination running wild at 4 am.

Harada has been long discussed as a strong candidate for the admiral, yes. A very interesting support for this is that Harada, Shintaro Katsu (Fujitora) and Kunie Tanaka (Kizaru) starred together in the movie Ronin-gai (1990) you mentioned:

The bottom three may very well be Fujitora, Ryokugyu and Kizaru if Harada do end up being the inspiration for the last admiral.

Everybody did, Yoshio Harada was the main candidate for most people the moment Ryokugyu was revealed to have long hair.

I research this in imdb since oda takes inspiration for the admiral from old japanese movie actor, and i never open reddit since it's banned in my country.
