With the most recent chapter, it is very very evident that Luffy vs Saturn, if the fight even happens, won't amount to much. 1104 reaffirmed the SHs' goal as escape as well as reaffirming the fact that Kizaru is an antagonist. Two things that Luffy vs Saturn supporters basically hinged their theory against.
Kizaru is still a villain, meaning Luffy will still need to stop him. Whereas Saturn, while powerful, is largely a defense oriented fighter(similar to BM) with his strongest power being regen. Basically making it to where much weaker characters like Kuma and Franky are capable of stalling him.
This being said, it begs the question of who will actually defeat Saturn? Due to regen, he likely won't die this arc, even if he takes an L. If Wano was any reference, there is a high chance that Bonney and S-Bear will defeat Saturn.
Kuma has been built up as Saturn's main nemesis throughout Egghead.
He stood up to Saturn in God Valley, when he was only just a child
Then Saturn forced Kuma to give up his free will.
Then it was revealed Saturn killed the love of Kuma's life
Ultimately culminating in Bonney being saved, not by Luffy like all the Luffy vs Saturn supporters claimed, but by Kuma.
I think it only makes sense for Saturn's ultimate defeat to be by the hands of Kuma. No other person deserves to defeat him. How will Oda do this?
Due to the self destruct button being pressed, I believe that Kuma will die in Egghead. While Kuma was able to use sheer will to save Bonney, we saw in the last chapter that he subsequently lost the ability to move after punching Saturn. While maybe Vegapunk can keep him alive for a bit longer, I doubt Kuma will make it out of this arc. I think there is a decent chance he will probably use his last ounce of life to repel the SHs away from Egghead. Apart from that, the real Kuma's body will probably die.
But that doesn't mean Kuma can't live on through his seraphim. We were shown through S-Snake that seraphim still maintain fragments of their original personality. That coupled with Kuma's buccaneer trait that allowed his will to remain intact, despite what vegapunk did to him, makes it very likely that S-Bear will inevitably go rogue and end up allying with Bonney. This will be the duo that will ultimately defeat Saturn.
Bonney can become Nika using her powers, yet her Nika form is imperfect as she doesn't really know what Nika is. By the EoS, Bonney will know that Luffy is Nika and hence will likely be able to perfectly replicate G5. We saw her use G3 in the flashback, and she seemingly used something similar to G4 against Saturn. Her getting G5 is more or less assured. Especially when you look at all of the asspull power ups Momonosuke got.
This isn't to say I think Bonney herself will be that useful against Saturn. While I do thinks he will get in a good blow against him, as Momo did against Kaido, the main fight will be S-Bear vs Saturn. Bonney, however, will play the crucial role of powering up S-Bear.
S-Bear is already incredibly strong. Yonko Luffy had trouble putting him down, even with Lucci's help. Hence we know that even in his current state, S-Bear is capable of fighting top tiers. What will make him a real threat to Saturn is Bonney's power. Bonney will use her power of S-Bear in order to turn him into an adult, and possibly even imbue him with Nika powers.
As we saw, nearly dead Kuma already had the power to fuck up Saturn, even if only momentarily. Given how strong young S-Bear is, imagine how strong prime S-Bear would be. There is absolutely no doubt that prime S-Bear could go toe to toe with any top tier. With her powers, Bonney will help S-Bear realize this potential. She might even allow S-Bear to accomplish Kuma's dream of becoming Nika by doing a distorted future on him.
