Back in Egghead i was convinced that Saturn had killed Kuma, when he pierced him. Then I thought Shamrock would end him. This is my next, and hopefully final, Kuma death prediction: third time's the charm! I wasn't completely wrong the first two times, i was directionally right actually, because an immortal Celestial Dragon will indeed kill Kuma: Sommers.
The symbolism is so strong, if you see it once, you won't be able to ever unsee it. Many posts have been made, on this site and others, about the religous, especially christian, theme of Kuma. He is a priest, he carries a bible with him, he suffers for others and so on.
The Holy Knights in general have a religous theme aswell, but Saint Sommers takes it to another level. He is a relative of Saint (Ju) Peter (Saint Peter was an aspostle and the first pope). He is from the shepherd family: Jesus was often called the good shepherd.
Many fans compared Kuma to Jesus aswell, for burdening himself with the suffering of others. He died on the cross, the symbol that Sommers as in his beard.
Saint Roswald was extremely resentful towards Kuma. The Celestial Dragons are still angry at the former king of Sorbet Kingdom. Sommers will encounter Kuma and finish him quickly with his thorn powers.
The thorns as especially effective against people who love strongly. Who loves stronger than Kuma? This will demonstrate that there is still something inside him, even though he doesn't move anymore. Very sad. Sommers will greatly enjoy it.
As a final humiliation, he will make Kuma king again. He will put a crown of thorns on his head. All the Jesus stuff, and then a character with thorn powers appears and people talk about how this power relates to Robin, what madness!
