Break Week Sanji is the Wings of the PK while Zoro is?

Yeah this guy is wrong.

The terms wings of the pirate king didn’t start with that chapter. It was from an SBS where Oda called these two the wings. However, English translators didn’t like that so they translated it to “luffys most trusted” or something like back.

The robin panel just kinda cemented it because the Japanese doesn’t specify wing as plural or singular. But the head translator for viz for one piece went on record saying he feels the sentiment was clear that this meant Zoro and Sanji. Which was just kinda confirmed next chapter with the editors notes, “The Wings take flight.” When Zoro and Sanji attack king and queen side by side.

this guy probably just reads official and thinks it’s most accurate but doing so he lost a lot of context for the quote

I found a video which basically destroys this wing agenda of zoro being part of the wings. So if sanji is both wings of the pirate king what the fuck is zoro then?

That video is crappy content from poor research; Zoro and Sanji are both Luffy's wings.

The "official translation" was explained by Stephen Paul as he uses "king of pirates" instead of "pirate king" so writing "one of the wings of the king of pirates" would have been too long and ugly as a sentence ("of the..., of the... of..."). It has nothing to do with "Sanji is the wings" being the correct translation.

Robin describes Sanji as 両翼, which was also used in SBS 73 to describe both Zoro and Sanji as Luffy's most important men and also in the editor's note from chapter 1022, when Zoro and Sanji's attack on King and Queen is addressed as "The Wings appear!" (or something like that).

Just don't trust YouTubers. They are usually as clueless as your average Joe.

I actually want this to be true. Wings is a better position than rhm imo.
