shanks is the villain?
I have a theory that shanks will be the villain. Shanks, especially after Kid does not give off the energy of being anyone’s allies and would betray them. Shanks is an agent created by the government, or even he could be a former gorosei. Whenever something extremely bad happens or a big threat to the governemnt’s plan emerges they call in shanks. Take akainu in marineford, he tried punching Koby but Shanks stopped him, ending the war, and shanks just appeared out of nowhere, had no screen time before, just appeared. Same with kaido, he just stopped kaido from even going to marineford. So my belief is that shanks after he stole the Nika fruit was instantly caught and forced to be a pawn of Imu. Now Blackbeard, we know he was from a bad and war filled country, you know what other country is like that? God Valley, you know who else is from god valley? Shanks, except what if instead of being saved Blackbeard wasn’t.

So, what if Blackbeard was left behind, gaining his insanity and ruthless over the years alone, until whitebeard came. But we do know that Blackbeard killed Thatch, and stole the darkness fruit, which corrupted his brain even more. So what if shanks is the same? He defeated a government agent and was turned into a ruthelss government agent, similarly to how Blackbeard killed thatch and became even more of a ruthless pirate.
So what is my theory? It’s that shanks is the villain but more of a pawn villain like how madara was with Kaguya, with Imu being Kaguya, but Blackbeard is more or less a broken villain corrupted by an evil power and situation, who was insane and corrupted and power made him more corrupted. I’ll also go over Blackbeard’s awakening later but I don’t feel like it right now
