I have made so many more theories about Teach using the Abyss to attack various places than I have every been touched by women the way Catarina touched Saturn.
Ever since Catarina Devon touched Saturn in Egghead, I've been waiting for Teach to use the Abyss to travel the world, and attack 1. Marijoa, 2. Egghead, 3. Fish-Man Island, and finally 4. Wano.
I believe Teach raided Impel Down, AGAIN, and that the person setting fire to the Holy Land is a new recruit: King, the Wildfire, who has soooooooo many reasons to set Marijoa on fire. Laffitte was seen outside the Red Line, preparing something: the invasion of Marijoa.
Like others, I believe Shanks' Sword Gyphon ate the Gryphon Mythical Zoan.
IMO, Gryphon can pick up the Red Force, and fly it wherever Shanks desires: this is why the Red Haired Pirates arrived at Marineford so quickly after fighting Kaido, and why they could catch Kaido to begin with, the Red Force can fly due to Gyphon.
Oda has spent a lot of time hyping up Shanks and Shamrock, not just as characters, but AS BROTHERS. I think Oda is itching to draw them fighting together.
At this point, Teach is Shanks' main enemy focus, as Shanks went to Wano believing Teach would attack the country after Kaido was defeated.
While Shanks hates the CDs, plenty of people live in Marijoa who aren't CDs, and I doubt Teach will be kind to them (maybe the Slaves).
At the very least, Teach is NOT the man Roger was waiting for, as Newgate said, and Shanks DOES NOT want Teach to seize more power.
I believe Teach scarred Shanks upon realizing Shanks had joined the God's Knights with the Shallows Covenant. Shanks and Newgate were friendly enough to drink together; at some point, Shanks visited the White Beard Pirates after getting his Seal, and Teach flipped his lid and fought him over it.
Teach will want to destroy the home of the CDs the same way they destroyed God Valley (Xebec's home) and Lulusia (possibly Eris's home). Lulusia was honestly probably the last straw for Teach.
To Teach, a man with Davy Blood siding with the people who destroyed God Valley is the equivalent of Neil Armstrong defecting to the USSR. Teach wanted his HEAD over this, and went for it, hence the eye scar.
I believe that Elbaph is not the only operation the Gorosei/Imu are running: Teach and Laffitte waited until Marijoa was lacking forces, to make their move, which is why Laffitte was spying in the first place.
Dragon and Teach have also been connected, and Dragon said things would change when the God's Knight made their move.
Teach was waiting for the same thing: for Imu to deploy his main forces, leaving the Holy Land vulnerable.
Enter Shanks, the Child of Destiny who is trying to bring about the Dawn Roger and Oden fought for. We already know that Shanks is willing to meet with the Gorosei, and help the WG from challenging Teach in Marineford.
Like in Marineford, I don't expect a serious fight, BUT, I think we will get a clash, as Teach's Crew steals:
1. The Giant Straw Hat
2. Xebec's Saber (what Teach named his Flagship after)
3. York
Once Teach is done stealing, he'll retreat... but they'll meet again, on Wano, in the Pluton War.
This will also lead to further Marine tensions, as the Marines will be criticized for needing a Yonkou to do their job for them.
Unless Sakazuki is on deployment (I could see the Gorosei/Imu sending Akainu to Wano to deal with Pluton, and like I said I think the WG is attacking multiple fronts at once, not just Elbaph), I also imagine we'll see Kuzan and Sakazuki clash, here.
