Powers & Abilities Shanks's 'other' fighting style

#1
I've seen people talk about this multiple times. This mainly comes from zoro's statement about king

The argument goes like this
"There are fighting styles that go under the category of "swordsman", and fighting styles that USE A SWORD that are not considered being a swordsman. Thus Shanks can both fight as a swordsman, and lose to Mihawk. But win if he actually uses his fighting style of choice. "

This just doesn't make that much sense in shanks's case cause unlike king and big mom shanks doesn't have a devil fruit.

Haki is also part of swordsmanship as when zoro asks mihawk to teach him the way of sword, mihawk teaches him about haki.

Mihawk is compared to shanks while announcing his bounty, this comparison only makes sense if shanks is a swordsman

So what 'other' fighting style will shanks show if he is not a df user and only relies on haki and a sword with one arm?:few:

Cause throwing strong coc blasts isn't a fighting style

Although this might be reaching but shanks grabs onto his sword when he meets ace, grabbing onto a sword is the first instinct of a swordsman

Do you guys think shanks will show his other fighting style in the future?
:choppawhat:

Imo he won't and he will remain a swordsman making mihawk stronger than him (not by a lot). And this doesn't make shanks look bad at all he is still a top tier. This just shows how strong mihawk is. Mihawk even has a black blade which the likes of roger and oden couldn't achieve, and ryuma is the only other guy in the verse that is confirmed to have it.

The fact that even the likes of kaidou and akainu take him for granted show he means business
I think he is at the top of haki hirarchy
Unlike most people that think his flag represents his scar i think that red color presents his mastery in all forms of haki and it's oda's usual double layered meanings to keep away from the true meaning
Like how amateur coo is blueish and advanced form is red same applies with coc

Mihawks teaches Zoro haki, fought Shanks in the past by utilizing haki.

Mihawk is high up the haki hierarchy

Mihawk is high up the haki hierarchy
I can agree on mihawk having all three types but being at the top in haki terms seems far fetched for him
The most important aspect of shanks in terms of power was shown to be his haki ever since foosha village so him being inferior to mihawk in terms of haki doesn't sit right for me honestly

There are real life boxers with only one arm, maybe Shanks is stronger and his haki magically gets stronger without the use of a magic fire sword? Makes sense.

Shanks doesn't have future sight nor a black blade, him being better than Mihawk in haki is wishful thinking.
