Consider a straightforward battle as described in the title happening in two scenarios.

In both scenarios, *Heki has joined the Hi Shin Unit, adding his years of experience to their cause.

Scenario A
The battle takes place in 3 sections across large open area. All fighting armies separated by similar distance to Battle of Hango.

On the wings, Kyou Kai and Heki line up against Jun Ei and Ryuu Han.

At the centre, Shin and Ka Ryo Ten face the army of Go Hou Mei fronted by Ran Bi Haku.

Qin - 60,000
W - 20K Kyou Kai
W - 20K Heki
C - 20K Shin

Wei - 70,000
W - 20K Jun Ei
W - 20K Ryuu Han
C - 30K Go Hou Mei & Ran Bi Haku

Who wins?

Scenario B
One large battle is to take place in a field large enough to house both armies.

The Wei have brought the full strength of their armies to bear and Gai Mou joins the battle as deputy.

Similar to the clash of Ri Boku and Geki Shin of Yan, this battle is anticipated to become pitched and bloody as sooon as it starts and possibly conclude within a day.

Qin - 80,000

To compensate for their comparatively lack of experience, Shin organises his army into a structure of 3 layers.

30K Heki
20K Kyou Kai
30K Shin

Heki's disciplined and conventional warfare on the vanguard
Kyou Kai's powerhouse cavalry preserving strenght in the second
& lastly Shin in the rear with his heavy cavalry ready to make a straight line for GHM's head

Wei - 100,000

The Wei take a more aggressive approach designed to sap the enemy's strength and break through with successive wave attacks.

Ryuu Han will open the battle with relatively small numbers. Ran Bi Haku will throw off the Qin with the strength of his second wave. Gai Mou and Jun Ei will then bring in a thunderous third wave the Qin are not meant to survive. If they do survive, however, then GHM will arrive with the fourth and final wave to deliver the coup de grΓ’ce.

20K Ryuu Han (1st)
20K Ran Bi Haku (2nd)
30K Gai Mou (3rd)
20K Jun Ei (3rd)
10K Go Hou Mei (4th)

Who wins?

Gohoumei:

Scenario A, Houmei probably takes it around a high diff.

Yeah they get curb stomped in scenario B. Unless you think Shin and Heki can defeat two Great Generals lmfao.

Scenario A:
In Scenario A, the battle dynamics are quite complex due to the distribution of forces and the notable commanders involved. The Qin forces, led by Kyou Kai and Heki on the wings and Shin at the center, have a balanced distribution of 20,000 troops each. Kyou Kai's agility and Heki's experience could provide a significant advantage on the flanks. However, Wei's numerical superiority, especially with Go Hou Mei's strategic prowess and Ran Bi Haku's strength at the center, could be overwhelming for Shin and Ka Ryo Ten.

Considering the tactical abilities of the commanders and the troop distribution, Wei might have a slight edge in Scenario A due to their larger army and the central command of Go Hou Mei, who is known for his strategic acumen.

Scenario B:
In Scenario B, the situation is different. Shin's decision to organize his army into three layers shows a strategic depth, with Heki's disciplined vanguard, Kyou Kai's powerful cavalry in the middle, and Shin's heavy cavalry at the rear. This formation is designed to withstand successive waves of attacks and deliver a decisive blow at the opportune moment.

Wei's aggressive strategy with successive wave attacks led by Ryuu Han, Ran Bi Haku, Gai Mou, and Jun Ei, followed by Go Hou Mei, is potent. However, it also risks exhausting their forces if Qin's layers can hold the line.

Given the layered defense of Qin and the potential for Shin to exploit any weakness with his heavy cavalry, Qin could potentially turn the tide and win in Scenario B, especially if they manage to withstand the initial waves and counterattack effectively.

Wei are at an advantage in Scenario A because Kyou Kai is less experienced and Heki would have a tough time to against Ryuu Han's offense.

Scenario B is actually to Qin's advantage.

I was going to lay out why, but this poster gets it:

You broke down both scenarios really well.

Especially Scenario B, that's how I thought of it.

My only note re Scenario A: I think the centre is a better match up for Shin with just RBH to deal with and it's Kyou Kai's lack of experience that could hurt them. If all Heki can do on the wings is hold Ryuu Han's Golden Cavalry in place, which is likely, then it's down to Kyou Kai having to breakthrough Jun Ei, which is perhaps a tall ask with her experience, but she is a 6GG talent, so maybe not.
