General & Others Smartest Pirate in One Piece?

BB has paradoxical personality....he is smart/cautious and overconfident at the same time....

Robin/Vegapunk/Nami are smart when it comes to literature/scientific stuff...

BB/Orochi/Doffy/Crocodile are smart when it comes to manipulation/schemes/calculations

Ben Beckman/Sanji probably for their strategy/intellect....

Luffy is battle smart......
Bolded. yes, Luffy is really smart with how he could observe his opponent and adapt to him in short amount of time, learning future sight. also in a Rayleigh flashback, Rayleigh was surprised twice by his combat knowledge. the first time is when Luffy told him he could inflate his muscles while in gear fourth and infuse CoA to do the king kong gun attack, and the second time when Rayleigh asked him how could he deal with a future sight user, and that he would have a rough time. Luffy said it would depend on his personality. and honestly we saw how Luffy managed to land hits on Katakuri when he exposed his weakness that he should stay calm and collected. Rayleigh was surprised and said he has never considered this aspect.

Putting aside the Straw Hats and the usual favourites, I'd say Kuma is really underrated for his intelligence. Dude not only figured out each Straw Hat's area of specialty, but also deduced the best place to send them for safety/training and accurately predicted the outcome of sending them to each place. For example, he predicted that Luffy would win over Hancock as an ally and use her ship to leave the Calm Belt. He also predicted that Zoro would impress Mihawk enough to be trained by him. Kuma is the real mastermind of the series, mark my word.

Special mention should go to Mihawk for being intelligent enough to identify Luffy's greatest asset and for being a one-man crew. Meaning that all the duties that require brainpower that Luffy outsources to other people, he performs himself. Mihawk is his own navigator, shipwright, doctor and helmsman. Unless of course you think he is immune to illness, his boat needs neither maintenance nor repairs and he just floats around randomly with no direction. Pretty sure you need to be damn smart to do all that without accidentally killing yourself.

The world calls him Blackbeard, the one and only Edward D. Teach.

Now If you mean on sheer intellect level, technology and etc. Then Franky, Chopper, and others like them would be ahead.

what if all kuma did was planned by dragon though?

or would you suggest that if that would be the case, we would have some form of implication/indication for that?

Dragon? Lol I wouldn't even trust the guy to plan a school excursion let alone a scheme of that magnitude. Dragon has... no major accomplishments, he's about as close to taking down the WG as I am to winning a Nobel Prize, was last seen with his base destroyed and sweating bullets regretting his decision to let Sabo go to Mariejoa. I really don't think anything Kuma did could've been planned by Dragon lol, he's such a bad strategist even Imu wants nothing to do with him.

Back on topic, the warlords are really stacked with intelligent pirates, Teach, Kuma, Law, Mihawk, Croc and Doffy all have displayed impressive feats of intelligence.

Smartest pirate is Sanji, he orchestrated the whole Beast Pirates and Big Mom Pirates alliance, causing the whole Navy a major headache. Experienced veteran like Garp even admitted, the alliance between Beasts and Big Moms can be worse than Rocks Pirates, the baddest pirates in its era. And more importantly, Sanji also proved his words years ago in Thriller Bark, "I will be man who is the most dangerous for Navy".

Pirates aside, honorable mention to smartest character is Sengoku.
- He ordered Akainu to trick the fool Squardo to attack Whitebeard. The trick worked.
- He knowing the Government outside and inside, including their secret agents. Then proceed to officially end Marineford War, so the secret agent won't get bodied there by Navy, thus preventing another problem between Navy and the World Government.

Im sama .

The guy is fooling the world by hiding himself for past 900 year years . Gotta say im is basically on aizen/kaguya level .

Pirates :

It is said ben beckmann was born genius.

Would like to add Nico robin, Nami , Marco, Blackbeard .

Law is genius as well he is a surgeon after all. So he probably has high iq.
