Speculations So Did Ussop Almost Kill Gunko?

Considering her heart didn’t fall out perhaps it reinforces the conqueror’s haki requirement for fighting the knights. It’s the only way to slow the regen but also maybe that’s the key to exposing the heart.

I think using observation to detect the heart is the key

but you have to know that it’s there

Does this mean Sanji is using conqueror's right now? Because Killingham is in a similar position as Sommers.

If not and assuming Killingham's heart is not exposed, CoC doesn't even seem necessary to defeat them, especially considering Roger pirates never killed these dudes anyway.

Haki interferes with abilities CoC strong enough that it interferes with the regen.

Putting them down permanently requires the heart

The fact that everyone on this forum knew from the moment that Regen was introduced, that it was too broken and the weaker SHP wouldn't be able to deal with them if COC was the key to take down Regen merchants and Oda committed to it, before realizing 30ish chapters later what was obvious from the beginning, and he's making up new weaknesses as we speak....

So is Sanji using CoC rn? Do you think it's on purpose or subconsciously?
Did you read the chapter not just look at the spoilers? They say Sommers regen is like magnetic force between the body parts with the heart as the source.

So as long as you have enough force separating the body parts they can’t come back together

it’s literally that easy

No but you just said CoC was the key to slowing down the regeneration, which is why Sommers is even in that predicament, only issue is Killingham is in the exact same predicament, so what role did CoC play if Sanji can net the same results (mecha heart aside)?

CoC isn’t “the” key, it’s just that it interferes with the ability when it’s strong enough because that’s just how haki works. (“Haki transcends all” or whatever).

The key is separating the body parts and isolating the heart which is the source. CoC would weaken the regen and make this easier, but if you bring some rope you can get the job done.

Ok so essentially what you're saying is having a rope (or similar alternatives) is the key and CoC would just make keeping the body parts separated marginally easier, as it would give you a bit more time to tie them up? So CoC is more or less not a deal breaker at all. The rope is.

Yup. You definitely don’t need CoC to beat a HK if you know how their power works.

Although I think something like Joyboy’s haki might just bypass the ability and kill them all together.

Garling said Rocks’s attacks were difficult to regenerate from, there’s probably a limit where strong enough haki WILL actually kill them not just stall regen
