I always thought that the Oden flashback was a very accurate representation of the last year of Roger's travels (only missing the void century information).
We don't even know if WB fought Garp after the Rock's incident, Roger fought Garp many times but it was before Oden hopping on.

And just because you possess CoC it doesn’t mean you can split the sky with your precense because it clearly has to be advanced CoC.

Sky splitting seems to be more of a ACoC user type of thing tbh. A willpower and ambition thing more than a battle thing. Im sure Garp or Sengoku were able to put Roger close to jail many times but in terms of willpower and world dominance they were never on equal footing
