3. He wasn't even strongest. Tied with garp and WB. A clear level below xebec.

He's essentially relegated to a secondary character in the story. Barely any significance in flashbacks.

These are all things we could guess from almost the very start really.
The treasure not being his makes sense, that's why they were on that hunt to find it after all. He reclaimed it, in a way, but it was still someone else's treasure prior to him finding it.
Also, his entire crew bar Shanks and Buggy knew the true history as well.

Whats with you guys, you love to jump on any character the second you get a chance. Roger is the PK, Roger pirates were the strongest pirate crew, there is a reason Shiki talks to WB of becoming the PK after death of Roger. Roger is the guy of the old gen.
Its just the recoil of putting Roger/WB on the highest pedestal and then learning that the difference between them and the rest is not that much.

Roger's biggest contribution is him starting new age of pirates. We have yet to see Roger's journey from his POV.

That being said I do agree rocks looks better for now. Strongest crew , more badass , more important lineage etc.

His achievements is actually bigger than Xebec as a pirate. The only person to found the One Piece in 800 years which later become the final goal for every pirate, even emperor Big Mom wanted to find it. If Xebec didn't die at God Valley, there might be a chance that his crew will find it, but I doubt he actually care about it.
