I mean we have people who want to become a pirate King who have shown some sort of desire to become Pirate King such as those gifters, the Yonkou, someone like Law or Blackbeard.
But is Pirate King really the most important thing to them?
Are those gifters any different than these two Newkama's challenging Mihawk?
Just like those gifters have had their hopes and dreams shattered when they realized they ate shit in the route to becoming Pirate King, these two Okamas are among the 1000s of people who have eaten shit in their journey to becoming WSS. There are so many swordsmen who challenge Mihawk, he can't remember the faces of many of them, but obviously them challenging Mihawk would suggest their WSS aspirations no?
Now what about big guns?
Lets use two people like Big Mom and Shanks for example.
Shanks has been training with swords since he was a kid and he has swords on his jolly Roger. So swordsmanship is obviously very dear to him, it is the reason why he made it as a swordsman to the point where he can have legendary grand line shaking duels with Mihawk? Or what about the fact that first thing Shanks wants from Mihawk when he visits him is another duel, another go at becoming best swordsman in the World.
But he doesn't actively want it, doesn't have determination that Zoro has? Perhaps its because he has realized its an ambition he can't attain with loss of an arm, like the gifters have realized they can't attain pirate king ambition. You know the realization that you are simply not good enough, simply not SPECIAL enough. Or perhaps not..
But then what about Big Mom? Does she really actively want to become Pirate King? Does she wake up every morning making a new move, a new strategy towards becoming Pirate King? Is her determination same as Luffy's? It certainly doesn't look like it, Pirate King is one of the things Big Mom wants in life but she still seems stagnant enough in the position she currently is in.
What about Law? Does he actively seek Pirate King title or his desire is passive, perhaps like someone like Shiryu's who himself seemed to be a trained swordsman, who must have had some determination to become the best he could be.
So really Zoro is the only one who actively wants WSS title
