Powers & Abilities So Yamato gets ACoC but Kid doesn't

#1
Yamato, the character introduced in the final act of wano and wants nothing more than to cosplay as Oden, has ACoC. Yet a character built up as Luffy's rival for 500 chapters, a character who wants to be PK, and a character who literally 2v1ed big mom, didn't.

This is legitimately a retard move on Oda's part. Some people will say I'm just being a fanboy. Some people will say I'm "pushing agenda". No, it is objectively bad writing for Kid to not have ACoC and I will stand by this.

You cannot portray haki as an essential part of combat, especially amongst top tiers, give Linlin ACoC, and then never address it in the fight. This is basically what Oda did. He had speed say that Linlin was using CoC off-screen and just never drew her actually using it(apart from one panel in 1040) so he didn't need to address how Kid and Law could deal with Linlin's conqueror's haki.

If instead of giving Kid a shitty, almost inconsequential awakening, Oda gave him ACoC instead, the fight would have made so much more sense. Kid could deal with Linlin's haki while Law deals serious damage. It would have even made sense for Kid to have it since he fought shanks and kaido before Luffy, and hence should have had at least some conception of ACoC.
Kid and Law were supposed to be equals. Law has the ope ope no mi and Kid has CoC. CoC was the thing that made Kid special, in comparison to Law. Yet it just didn't matter at all. Law got a big flashy awakening and did most the damage to Linlin and Kid, despite being paralleled to Luffy countless times since his introduction, was just Law's shittier sidekick.

Kid not having ACoC(amongst other things) ruined his character and even more than that, it ruined Kid and Law vs Big Mom. Because Oda couldn't create a way for Kid and Law to logically deal with Linlin's haki, he just pretended it didn't exist, which makes the fight one of the absolute worst in the series. While Kid was only introduced in sabaody, Linlin was foreshadowed as far back as thriller bark with Lola. She was set up as a major antagonist in Fishman island and WCI. Yet in one move, Oda managed to ruin both characters. He simultaneously made both Kid and Linlin look weak and incompetent. Good fucking job.

Yamato > Kidd so it's only natural

"Give."
:kaidowhat:
Kid met both Rayleigh and Hyo the same as Luffy, made no effort to learn Haki from them. Yamato literally knows nothing except for training under Kaido.

So who here actually reads the manga?
Yes it is give, is Oda not the writer? What is stopping Oda from writing an off screen training by Kid?

You act as if these characters are real beings, don’t waste my time

People that expected something from Kid for whatever reason are butthurt. Kid didn't have Rayleigh as a mentor, he isn't even a natural haki learner like Luffy.

People here acting like it would make perfect sense if Kid just pulled Acoc out of his ass even though he never showed anything beside being good with his fruit.

Yet Yamato went from not knowing how to use adCoA to take off her cuffs to adCoC lmao

Those are two different abilities. Yamato doesn't have future sight either, and neither does Zoro. Katakuri doesn't have advcoc. What is your point?

Yes it is give, is Oda not the writer? What is stopping Oda from writing an off screen training by Kid?

You act as if these characters are real beings, stop insulting out intelligence here
I'm insulting the need to change the entire narrative based on what you'd rather see. Oda is the one who designed Kid to be someone who doesn't care about that. That is his character. Luffy and Zoro submitted themselves to instruction for two years while Kid was out there crucifying in the new world. So now he doesn't have the highest level of Haki, it all fits together in the ongoing story.

You can complain about the author giving characters random powers, ass pulls, or you complain that the characters you like aren't more powerful in ways they aren't written to even think about simply because you want them to be. But you can't have it both ways.

Find the panel before Wano where Kid says he doesn’t care about Haki

again you keep insulting our intelligence here to suck off Oda. He could’ve easily written Kid to get adCoC

She fought with Kaido so many times, doesn't really surprise me that she learned how to use ACoC eventually.
Kid has literally spent the entire of the 2 year timeskip fighting

see anybody can use this excuse too

Just use logic, he never even tried incorporating haki into his fighting style, he could've tried learning Acoa from Hyo, but didn't. Nothing in the story ever suggested Kid to be some legendary haki master.

Oda has done Kidd very dirty this arc man.

I would truly feel bad for his fans if they didn't try to argue for Kidd > zoro (what a ridiculous fucking take).
