Indominus lived for most of her life in captivity, she is very intelligent and can adapt fast during a figth but lack the experience to figth others top predators
The spino is more aggressive ,has superior strength and is better experienced in fighting against others big predators
So i would say the spino takes it thanks to experienced, strength and his aggressive character
