What if the final matchup between the different emperor crews is the most simple?
With it really just coming down to their role on the crew. It being captains vs captains, navigators vs navigator, etc. Doesn't even necessarily have to be even fights either. If the 4 way Davy back fight really happens it could just be competitions that highlight their roles

So basically

1. Captains: luffy vs shanks vs blackbeard vs buggy
2. Navigators: nami vs building snake vs laffitte vs ?
3. Doctors: chopper vs hongo vs doc q vs ?
4. Snipers: usopp vs yasopp vs van auger vs ?
5. Etc

Each being amazing at their roles but in different ways

As to what types of games each can play

1. Doctors: maybe similar to the queen situation on onigashima they will each need to create an antidote from scratch this time
   • Maybe they can team up with the cooks on the ship to help find ingredients
2. Navigators: help navigate their ship through some short of obstacle course
   • They can team up with the helmsman and shipwrights
3. Snipers: some target practice like game where they have to hit the most amount of targets precisely
   • Maybe done with the swordsmen because they're both combat roles

I think it could lead to funny gags on which one should be sent out when tho. Or even highlight some random weaker members being way more useful than they originally thought they would

Well it depends on their underworld connection's
I assume they can use the underworld to get access to some big shot pirate captains or countries not affilated with the world govenrmnet or other powerful organizations

Definitely possible when all four are gunning for the One Piece. Luffy himself stated at least once that he wanted to beat up Red Hair

Luffy mentioned saving shanks for last. So no reason to assume he’d join a three way war to fight shanks.

Luffy would just wait for the fight to end then fight the winner after they’ve healed.

Luffy hates people interrupting his fights a 3 way fight is not his style.
