Koby wants to stop Luffy. Obviously a direct confrontation between the two won’t end well for the marines.
However, Sword is more than capable of targeting Luffy’s grand fleet captains. Sai specifically likely has a huge bounty on his head due to attacking Charlos at reverie.
Given this and the fact that Chinjao was crushed by Garp, I think Sword will fight and capture the Happo Navy, with that being their next major move.
Koby will fight Sai and break his leg, like Garp did to Chinjao’s drill. Additionally I think Drake will beat Chinjao, Grus will beat baby 5, and Helmeppo will beat Sai’s brother. Though I think almost all of this will be offscreened.
Taking out Sai will further the rivalry between Koby and Luffy. It will boost Koby’s popularity amongst the CDs, likely leading to him being promoted. And I think it could lead to the happo navy returning stronger than ever in the final war, via some training in impel down before bursting out with Bon Clay.
