Moon Knight obviously is heavily connected to the Moon. He also has 3 separate personalities.
Teach also is heavily associated with the moon (shown in a sketch of him as a kid, he doesn’t sleep, and he’s the antithesis of the “Sun” God Nika). Teach likely also has 3 souls residing in his body, which is why he can eat multiple DFs. It was mentioned in a magazine that Teach had 2 sisters. Their souls may have been stored in his body.
We still don’t know how Base Teach managed to give Shanks his scar when Shanks would obviously be much stronger given that even with 2 DFs, Teach is only at Shanks’s level or probably even a little weaker still. We also know that it wasn’t a result of Teach cheapshotting Shanks or pulling a dirty trick on him, according to Shanks himself. What if like Moon Knight’s Jake personality, Teach has an alternate personality which is actually highly skilled at combat, unlike his usual clumsy personality?
