so if you've read my theories as of late, I think Teach has to be the final antagonist for Luffy. I made another theory here if you want to read more but to sum it up: Teach= Darkness, Luffy= sun/dawn.
But this poses a question. How can Teach be worse than the celestial dragons? Surely these evil people have to be the ultimate villains, right? Well, not necessarily. In god valley, Xebec was supposedly such a great threat that Roger fought him to defend the celestial dragons. I believe that Teach has inherited Xebec's will and that Mariejois will be a repeat of God valley.
Whereas the revolutionaries and the supernova defeat the marines, Imu, and the gorosei, Luffy will protect the civilians of mariejois from Teach. But what is Teach's endgame? Well Teach is set up to be the opposite of Luffy. Luffy wants to be the pirate king, the freest man in the world. He is also greatly connected to Nika, who is supposed to be a great liberator. When he finally became joyboy in 1043, Zunesha said she heard the drums of liberation. Ultimately, Luffy is tied to freedom and liberation.
Then what is Teach? Teach is the opposite, whereas Luffy wants to free the world, Teach will try to enslave it. This is why Teach is the most dangerous man alive. Imu and the Gorosei just want to maintain the status quo, which is horrible but still tame to what Teach wants to do. I believe Teach wants to basically eradicate freedom. How will he do this? Well I think he will do this via 2 DFs. The soru soru no mi and the kage kage no mi. He likely already has the kage kage no mi due to moria washing up on his shores and with Linlin already defeated, he could easily take the soru soru if he came to wano.
Via these two abilities, Teach will be able to basically drain the life out of people. I think he might combine the powers of soru soru, kage kage, and yami yami to turn people into darkness zombies. Basically giving Teach an invincible undying army.
