As it's become pretty easy to predict Oda's writing recently here's my new predition

BB pirates clash with the Straw Hats at Egghead Island and after a short stalemate BB reveals a half dead law threatening to kill him should they not trade Robin for his place. A reluctant and desperate crew doesn't know how to deal with the situation so Robin willingly accepts the trade rescuing Law thus starting the chase after BB.

Has she even awakened her eye? Robin is the safest bet for anyone who wants to decipher the Poneglyphs

BB already has Pudding to read poneglyphs, starting a war with Luffy over Robin is dumb. He likely sent some of his commanders there for the seraphim/vegapunk.

Last we checked Pudding was nowhere near being able to awaken her eye and it was a question as to whether it's even possible for her to do so since she's mixed race. Right now Robin is the only one who we know of that can 100% read the poneglyphs

- Blackbeard captured Pudding for that reason, someone like him knows Tobin wont tell him shit anyway ubless he can find some way to threaten her through someone else, and I don't see that happening.

It was stated that he continued oharas research, so yeah Vegapunk should be able to read them

The only reason why I would lean towards Robin being the target is because it would raise the stakes between Luffy and BB for the final clash though

Those stakes don’t need raising:
1. Blackbeard set up aces death
2. Blackbeard is set up to kill shanks
3. Blackbeard and Luffys fight will decide who makes it to raftel
4. Blackbeard already has one of luffys friends captured

This fight has high stakes already
