Teach needs more allies to be able to hold Garp considering who he is tied to. He should have already pissed Dragon off by destroying his base. He already pissed Luffy and Sabo off by capturing Ace and handing him over to die.

So imagine Luffy and Dragon say I’ve had enough of the bitch and just decide to take there regimes and erase the Blackbeard Pirates. Shanks would be the least of his concerns.

You really wouldn’t need the marines to get involved but Mr. Honesty Impact himself would surely crash the party.

I agree. Koby had his chance, he’s not strong enough yet. But remember we’ve seen Luffy leave an island to save someone. He left Zou to get Sanji back. I wouldn’t be surprised if he left Elbaf to save Garp. Honestly it could be Shanks that tells Luffy that Garp has been kidnapped by the BB pirates. It could parallel him telling WB about BB.

It only worked for ViVi because they didn’t know where she was. They know where Garp is. Also if Luffy goes and Dragon doesn’t Sabo likely will.
