This is a pattern that has been going on since Dressrosa... Every Good Luffy Moment, is followed by a Bad Kidd Moment, and Vice Versa.

Is this an intentional pattern ?

Definitely intentional, that’s how you push heroes to become better. They see a rival doing better - get inspired to try harder and not give up

Another pattern is that each time Luffy looks stronger than Zoro the Grandmaster catches up.

You can definitely see a correlation between Red Roc and that Punk Gibson. Beyond that though I think this is pretty muddled. Like your definition of "after" has to be loose. The connection between all of your scans is extremely vague.

Casual. It is false that after every good or bad Luffy moment we had an opposite Kidd moment. Just think about when Kaido one shotted Luffy in their first foght there wasn't even a Kidd moment. Imo Kidd is now used like every other SN or character as sone kind of tool to make the story progress. BM was about to destroy Nami and co and Kidd arrives at the right moment to stop her and look cool. Ok. But Luffy unlocked adv coa,now adv coc and looked like he could fight with Kaido on par while Kidd has nothing, he will share the same fate as Law. In the end be a new yonko but Luffy true rival has always been BB alone.

I would say yes but idk how Oda can have that jump unless it’s like Kidd and big mom where it’s a page with sanji coming clutc.

If he off screens a lot do sanji can get to his fight then yeah I can see him coming in last minute

Oda definitely care a put Luffy and Kidd rivaly despite the feats not supporting the idea, but feats aren't as important as portrayal or build up in One Piece

problem is, Kidd should have a top tier enemy that he will take care of himself

but all Yonko are reserved to Luffy, he may help with both Kaido and BM and even Shanks since he have history with all three, but he won't be the focus in any of these fights

am waiting for his past tbh, I think Kidd could have a strong figure like Shanks and Luffy that could be his final opponent

I said it several times that "Captain" Kidd could be related to Captain John( who probably was one of the important Rocks pirates figures) and I think he will be his final opponent if he's somehow alive , other than that Kidd won't defeat any major top tier on his own or be the focus like Luffy
