On this last chapter we got to see some of the elders of Elbaph, although they were only silhouettes (average silhouette piece moment.)
My theory is this : I think those elders are currently living in the heaven realm of Elbaph and that might be why we never saw them or heard of them even though they look very old, close to the age of Jarul.
Now how does it tie to immortality and time dilation ? I think time might be going slower the higher you are on the Adam tree. By living in the heaven realm, they probably age even slower than everyone else even on Elbaph. They seem to be very attached to the culture of Elbaph and the fact that they are in form of silhouette might indicate that they'll be relevant in some way.
They might be the one who ordered Harald's death.
Harald's connection to the WG and weakening of Elbaph threatened their position in the Heaven realm and so their kind of " immortality" ( or at least very long lives). It would be very symbolic to have a Valhalla kind of place where the people are actually cowards that rely on the warriors of elbaph to live longer and would kinda tie with Oda criticism of the structure of our society.
It would also be a way to slowly glimpse into Imu's story since it's another being that seems to refuse to die and will use any mean to keep his position.
Opinions are welcome, maybe that'll inspire some other theories.
