is law a main character, yet he beat vergo in PH and trebol in dressrosa. or all the fleet members that beat dofla executives, or Kyros that beat diamanate, or big mom beat page1.

Marco vs king
sanji vs queen
Inu vs jack
neko vs perospero
jimbei vs whoswho
robin/brook vs black maria
nami vs ulti
franky vs sasaki
I agree on all except the ones including Marco, Inu and Neku. Marco might get overwhelmed in a 3v1 then Zoro gets healed to face King. Marco said he's simply paving the way for the next generation so he might've just been holding off the Calamities and using most of his stamina for that.

I don't think Inu can beat Hybrid Jack despite both of them being injured. Jack, as an ancient Zoan, is known for his resilience while Inu got whooped by Kaido, Jack shouldn't lose in a 1v1 but he'll be significantly injured afterwards, in my opinion. Neku just found out about Perospero, I imagine he'll go and offer Perospero some assistance but seeing he has no history with Pero himself, I don't think he'll be the one to beat him but I might be wrong on that last one (I just don't want Peros losing to Neku but it seems likely).

Marco and Neko and Inu I don’t see. This arc is about the straw hats overcoming the old generation. To me it’d be like if tilestone took down Kaku, narratively makes some sense but not really.

I think the matchups will end up as:

Sanji vs King and Queen
Yamato vs Jack
Carrot and Chopper vs Perospero
Jinbe vs Who’s Whos
Franky and Denjiro vs Sasaki
Robin and Brook vs Black Maria
Nami vs weakened Ulti
Usopp vs weakened Page One

Sanji vs King and Queen combined? :sanmoji:
Absolutely.

1. King and Queen both have narrative reason to fight Sanji.

2. Queens mention about the importance of taking down the 2s and 3s (king and queen)

3. Since their introduction and even more so when the war started King and Queen have been a pair with Jack doing his own thing. So I don’t see them being taken down separately

4. King and Queen have been tag teaming Marco and as such lost individual hype; however, have gained hype as a duo. So them being defeated as a duo makes more sense.

5. This will reassert the “monster trio” and even more so, it’ll show how important it was they get Sanji back before the raid. It’ll show nekomamushi that Pedro sacrificing his life for this mission was not in vain.

6. Power set wise this will also be Odas best way of showcasing the power of Sanjis CoO. There’s always a limit to how well you can show the acuteness of CoO without just photocopying future sight, so I think showcasing Sanji capable of keeping track of two high tier opponents simultaneously will really showcase it.

The 6th point looks particularly moot. He doesn't necessarily have to take on two top calamities to prove that his CoO is very proficient, expecially if King's will prove already good enough. Of course the more danger = more difficulty = more prowess to show off but if we combined this with factual realism we figure the odds he fights them together are very slim, not even Chrono feasibly buys that, and not because he is biased that wise, but he figures Oda is not necessarily a linear thinker when it comes to portrayal and he usually prefers to portray juicy content such as potentially Sanji v Queen kind of potential when it comes to Judge's past with Queen. Also being a pair or tag teaming for a while doesn't remotely necessarily implicate they have to be taken out simultaneously, if not Sanji joining could disrupt that tag teaming. Lastly Sanji has presumably always been consistently weaker than Zoro and Luffy so the M3 argument doesn't convince me.:brootea:

I think the way these two are built they will be involved in a shared backstory. I think the best way to seamlessly move into that would be through continuing the tag team of king and queen. Otherwise one fight would be awkwardly interrupted.

And chrono vastly overhyped king. The man is queens equal. He’s not superior to Katakuri

I think we’ll just have to see Where Oda goes but I think the way CP0 talked the five who were up top will share no part in the fight of the calamities.
