One line I found suspicious was Teach saying Luffy's haki got stronger in Impel Down, not sure if it's a mistranslation but it might indicate you can use CoA without coating just like CoC. Luffy failed to hit Smoker while Zoro couldn't protect his swords, which are two tasks requiring hardening. Everyone has haki, but you need to be aware to coat it, but that might not necessarily mean you can't unconsciously deal damage with it. You also have Sanji with his diable jambe heat being related to haki.

This way the defeat of CP9 makes sense somehow. It'd be mad to introduce such basic concept at this time in the story but with how things are being handled it's not far fetched.

I have mixed feelings about Haki anyway.

I think that partially it works offline? If that makes sense.

I mean the strongest ur Haki is the strongest damage ur body can take head on.

Like you know Zoro or Shanks are piss poor humans but they can take shit head on right? You'd think they have to coat themselves before the attack but that's not always the case.

I think of Haki as also a boost to normal stats.

Depends on the attack really, but I wouldn't say Zoro is a piss poor human since he honed his body since childhood. Can't say the same about Shanks since he's a hobo with no dedication whatsoever and was being mauled by civilians in the fan favorite movie.
But yeah this goes with what I mentioned earlier, coating is much more beneficial but haki is still utilized/consumed even if you are not aware because haki is basically life force same as Chakra and Aura from HxH.

I partially predicted Shanks's ability but I don't brag about this since it's not 1:1 of what I thought.


My theory about versions of advCoO is that one affinity allows you to erase ur presence from someone trying to pinpoint you with sensing or FS.

There's is a CoA form, that isn't hardening. Look back to fishmen island. The manga and anime have both shown us Tamago's Mink crewmate, punch caribou (logia user) without using CoA hardening. so it does exist

I never liked the idea of Zoro having FS until Kaido showcased it.

Prior to that I always imagined Zoro to unlock some ultra sensory type. I used Naruto and Sasuke for example.

Sasuke got vision of limbo ( Rinnegan ) = FS.

naruto got ultimate sensory = Zoro's potential AdvCoO.

But since even someone like Kaido has it then Zoro should too. Maybe Zoro will even develop something like Shanks.

About Mihawk, yeah deffo.

Hawkeyes, I mean come on = AdvCoO 120%

Black Blade = AdvCoA potentially? + CoC let's say.

and obviously AdvCoC.

I think Black Blade forging takes time as for achievements in RPG games so first ur swords have to fight some as your tools and u turn them black by having perfect harmony between AdvCoA and AdvCoC.

You might be on to something.

We all know how the power (BOAT) Zoro used to cut Mr 1. The ability to cut steel or not cut paper turn out to be barrier haki. It's irrelevant if Oda originally planned that or not.

It wouldn't surprise me if the power Zoro used to sense the location of his sword and know the rocks wouldn't land on him turned out to be or became CoO (FS) or some other advance CoO.

We can see from the databook info Zoro obtains a lot of information from sensing his opponent. If nothing else this should be enough to place Zoro's CoO power/skills at least at an intermediate level.

Zoro having the body of the sage so to speak would be cool.

Which would make sense for his fight against someone like Mihawk (who has the eyes). But yeah, if a brute like Kaido can get it theres no reason why shouldn't be able to as well.

His goals is literally only strength orientated.

Oda will have him unlock and master all advanced haki types and if there's anything else out there non-fruit related, possibly that as well.
