In Chinese mythology there are 5 animals associated Five Principles and the seasons.

The Azure Dragon, The Vermillion Bird, The White Tiger, The Black Tortoise and the Yellow Dragon. My theory is that characters with mythical devil fruits representing these beasts will play prominent roles in Wano.

The Azure Dragon is obviously supposed to be Kaido. It also represents Spring, which is ironic because Kaido prefers winter islands according to Scotch.

The Vermillion Bird is Marco and it represents summer, the hottest season. Marco will likely heal the Roofnovas to full health or take on Big Mom. I know that Marco is blue, but I can't see Oda introducing another mythical bird fruit unless it's a Thunderbird which is from Native American myths.

The White Tiger is probably Yamato. Her zoan form has fangs and there's too many parallels with Dragons and Tigers, for example the Dragon represents the heavens while the Tiger represents the Earth. The White Tiger is associated with Autumn.

The Black Tortoise is either Green Bull or Blackbeard. Green Bull is likely a powerful Zoan and also seems to be slightly lazy, he is the only admiral that hasn't made an appearance. The marines may come to Wano. He also seems to be familiar with Vegapunk, who has been mentioned several times this arc. Blackbeard said that he wanted to get something, commonly theorized to be the WCI poneglyph, but I think there's a possibility of Blackbeard coming to Wano and revealing that he ate some kind of mythical turtle fruit and then stealing Kaido's poneglyph. Teach was born on a Winter Island and the Black Tortoise is associated with Winter.

The Yellow Dragon is Momo. In Chinese Mythology the Yellow Dragon is the center of the universe, a very important figure. Several members of the Beasts Pirates have acknowledged Momo as the most important enemy.

I was just about to make this thread...:beckmoji:

But yh I don't agree with the Vermillion Bird being Marco. Vermillion is a shade of Red. Vermillion Bird literally means Red Bird. Marco is blue....thus he can't be the Suzaku/Vermillion bird.

I also don't believe Greenbull or Blackbeard is the Genbu/Black Tortoise. I have a good idea of who it would be tho.

Who do you think the Bird and Tortoise are?

I believe the bird is Sanji. I think it's a very fair assumption.

Aside from the Vegapank leaks that said Sanji would turn into a fire bird...

Sanji:-

- Fits the red fire colour
- Has been hinted to have a transformation since Thriller Bark
- Has his eyebrows associated with DFs
- Produces flames like DFs users and not other users
- Had his Lineage Factor toyed with when he was a fetus
- Usopp wonders if he was born under a miraculous star

There are also more. But i'd save it for my thread.

Who the Black Tortoise is...is also what I will save for my thread.

Maybe Marco will die and Sanji will eat his fruit, and he'll be red instead of blue. Tag me when you make your Black Tortoise thread please.

Hell no. Zoro aint that relevant.

Nah...I think DJ and HM are already by-products of the Vermillion Bird Lineage Factors Sanji has inside him.

I'll make a thread on who I think all the symbols are.

Yh @TheKnightOfTheSea I really don't think I'll make a thread.

So anyways I believe the 4 symbols are:

- Azure Dragon = Kaido
- White Tiger = Yamato
- Vermillion Bird = Sanji
- Black Tortoise = Fukurokuju

Essentially the Genbu is usually a Tortoise/Snake Hybrid. So I'm thinking Fukurokuju/Orochi Chimera.... this is my reasoning for Fukurokuju

Fukurokuju maybe the Genbu. He may not have the actual Genbu power but he could have some sort of Turtle power. So once Orochi goes on top of him. It would be a Snake on top of a Turtle.

Plus Genbu's have the ability to travel to the land of the dead. Fukurokuju is also a Japanese myth about a God who bring people back to life.... Both very similar

Plus the Turtle in the Genbu and Fukurokuju both symbolise Longevity in Japanese myth. Again very Similar.

Lastly, Fukurokuju's kimino has a turtle shell-like pattern

So either Fukurokuju has a full on Genbu DF or he has a different Turtle fruit. Perhaps an Ancient Turtle Fruit....
