One Piece Arc Parallels
Alabasta: FMI
The weakest link I think I can find of the arcs, but it could fit
- Major ties to Ancient Weapons
- Both could be considered Luffys first 2 territories (including Drum Island)
- Typical princess in distress trope, not gonna use that as a connection but ill put it here
People may question this because Crocodile would hypothetically have a Yonko counterpart, but to me that is a detail I will gladly ignore for the sake of this thread.
Jaya: Punk Hazard
These arcs contrast in 1 major way, Jaya was good and well paced... Punk Hazard was ass and slow.
- Setup arc for a bigger fight, vs Enel and vs Doffy
- Doffy and Enel are practically the same person (Eminem lookalike + God complex + ties to Im lol)
- Both had the antagonist get fodderized instantly, both ended up returning as allies-ish (just realized Bellamy returned in Dressrosa, another connection)
- BB was introduced, Kaido was teased in PH seriously...
Skypeia: Dressrosa
Payoff for the aforementioned setup arcs of each respective saga, though i still see Skypeia as an anomally in the story
- Doffy and Enel are practically the same person (Eminem lookalike + God complex + ties to Im lol)
