I think it’s one thing when Luffy or Law pull awakening against legitimately tough fights like Lucci or Teach.

But the gorosei have been using awakening outright casually.

Look at Saturn in egghead or the gorosei going 6v1 against Sabo. These aren’t tough fights and the gorosei tbh have no reason to use awakening this casually.

What this suggests to me is that there is surely a level of DF mastery above the basic awakenings we have seen so far. Otherwise Oda would have shown the gorosei’s full power right off the bat for no reason.

This makes sense as we have at least two major battles left: against the BBP and against the CDs.

Oda needs to come up with some way for Luffy to beat Teach and Imu, this is probably it. Kid and Law also didn’t get ryuo in wano, so while I think they could definitely get some haki buffs(law got his DF negation haki), I think “second awakening” makes sense for a future power up for them as well.

This hax of paralyzing opponents may be derived from their Awakening form and cannot be used in normal Zoan form. After that, Zoan Awakening has not proven to be taxing; the only exception to this rule is Luffy, surprisingly.

I think all awakening is taxing. Kata and Doffy were merely used to the stamina drain.

And Oda already established a power luffy can gain to defeat Teach and Imu in the Will of D that’s been consistently talked about.

Why are Law's and Kid's awakenings recent?

It is evident that there will be improvement in this regard. The Goroseis, on the other hand, are Zoan types aiming to increase their endurance. In awakened mode, their endurance should be further enhanced. It would be hilarious to say that a Zoan, upon awakening, would have issues with endurance when one of the main characteristics of Zoan types is an increase in this stat. LMAO

Luffy's case is an exception, and unlike Kid and Law, the Goroseis are more experienced – these guys are old. If even Katakuri and Doffy mastered their awakenings to the point where it doesn't affect their endurance, then I expect the same from the Goroseis.
