But again, unless this affected Joyboy Haki source permanently. He got his Haki tank reduced in real time. Could be a solution to this. As this could be only one time thingy.

If not why are we not seeing Imu with 1000s of Haki knot and each Holyknight carrying

This is more so us lacking us the context. This is my headcanon but that conversation between Emeth and Joyboy feels like their final conversation before Joyboy goes and does smth big

Maybe that’s why he didn’t give more. He knew his time and defeat was close so he protected Emeth before his final offensive
