Lately I've been thinking about how'd I'd like to see the Strawhats fight the Blackbeard pirates and I'd like to see Oda deviate from his usual unique island/country building up to a final battle arc formula.
I'd like to see the Blackbeard pirates sneak up on the Strawhats in the middle of the sea as they're on their way to the next island and finally get a sea battle!
I'd imagine Franky would go all out against Sanjuan Wolf using the Sunny.
Luffy and Blackbeard would blast each other in the sky (Gear 5th can basically fly) and Blackbeard has other ways of flying through his crew mates.
Zoro vs. Shiryu would have a wild destructive battle on Blackbeard's flagship (ending with Zoro killing Shiryu and causing the ship to sink).
Jinbe vs. Burgess near an island beach where they can both go all out.
The rest would mostly fight on a small uninhabited island nearby, but it would be pure chaos how they all disperse.
It would be cool to see a bunch of battles going on concurrently, maybe we'd even see some of them interrupt each other. I really think Oda should do this to give us more of a pirate feel to the battles.
Does anyone agree?
