Im going based on plot here not so much power scaling a because that's been done to death and b because nobody yet has pointed this out
This is more addressing the inconsistencies with these ideas rather then any then anything related to power
the shinju tree/Juubi
So when madara creates it right, it's just a form of the juubi and clearly never ate an oststuki to transform
The juubi originally was just some beast who was the original form of the bjuu
So when we get to kaguya, It's now entirely different with the shinju tree now just being there on earth retconning the lore given prior of it being a form of the juubi.
it's also stated that the juubi is kaguya itself yet madara's tale of kaguya makes it very clear that they are unrelated as does the anime because she rides it into battle to fight her sons
So now boruto
Ohh so this is where, Consistency is thrown out the window so momshiki just creates a divine tree by usng naruto and bee's chakra which retcons the shippuden backstory of the juubi being a form of the shinju tree and kaguya.
So now to isshiki because this is where any rules or idea of consistency gets thrown out the window
So it's stated that the shinju tree requires a living otstuki sacrifice to plant with duos being formed to archive that goal. This creates plot holes with boruto itself as momoshiki just had kinshiki around as a guardian to pass down power to him and it's said by kinshiki that the same occurred with his guardian with him donating his power over to his pupil.
Not only that but kaguya couldt of made the shinju tree if what's said is true nor could have madara or momoshiki. But we know that they did create these trees without a sacrifice as kinshiki is still alive after the tree is formed

The lore on them varies on scene, it's just really bad.
Kaguya says they care solely for power and nothing more yet we know that to be false as they have ranking systems as the kara arc points out not only that but they have some sort of law system as urashiki mentions so guess kaguya lied and their not just brutes. Great Writing Indeed
Next part would be the karma mark, If it can put onto to someone at any point then why didt kaguya put it onto naruto or sasuke when they were about to seal her? Guess she was just plain stupid shows what she knew
She was said to have created chakra but all of her species has chakra so how could this be a point had?? Maybe shippuden was planned to be the end and they didt think about the future all that much hence the retcons about her as the creator of chakra. All of shippuden now cannot happen as it did due to the existing plot changes done by kodachi but you know what when some anime writer changes something, it's filler trash but when a rando mangaka unrelated to kishimoto does that same thing ig it's just a okay.
