I saw this post, and thought, wait... that's a great point. So, which beautiful women could Blackbeard recruit? Well... there's another Kuja Empress unaccounted for, the Empress before Boa.

Gloriosa[3] is a former empress of the Kuja tribe from one generation before Shakuyaku,[4] two generation before an unkown Kuja,[5] and three generations before Boa Hancock took over. She is more commonly referred to as "Elder Nyon".[1]

Blackbeard could have used the former Kuja Empress's knowledge of Amazon Lilly to attack the island, in exchange for giving the Fruit to her after taking it from Boa.

Blackbeard going after Hancock definitely indicates that the 10th is a woman. But if its the former empress im not sure. Maybe former CP member also works.

I'm not sure if the unknown Empress would sell out her country like that. But then again, she probably fell in love with a man and decided to travel out of the country for him.

Which raises me some question that how would the Empress benefits from teaming up with Blackbeard? And if the Empress is beautiful, there's no reason for her to go after Hancock's fruit in the first place.

Ambushing a guy after he just fought against two Yonkou is classic Blackbeard. Blackbeard was ready for either him, Law, or Luffy, though: he's confident enough in his power to challenge crews openly (though in a very underhanded manner).

Just fought? That was more than a week ago. He left Wano when he was already recovered. Teach is fighting everybody together the guy is crazy. He got new DF's, he fought both Kuja Pirates AND Marines with Seraphims. Now he is fighting Law. And we are not seeing him resting(he is humiliating everybody so no need to rest too).

I completely agree. He wanted the Blackbeard Pirates to look really scary and evil looking, though, apparently. Which makes wanting the Mera Mera no Mi kind of weird, anyway. We'll see what happens.
