Similar to how the Ope Ope no mi is the perfect DF for doctors, the jiki jiki no mi is the perfect DF for engineers. Hence I think the AK's giant robots and other technologies were likely constructed using the jiki jiki no mi, possibly in conjunction with other DFs.
We have already seen that Kid was able to use the jiki jiki no mi to build complex machinery, like a rail gun or a mecha bull
However Kid does not have the scientific knowledge that an engineer in the AK would have had. This begs the question, what would an engineer in the AK have been able to construct using the Jiki jiki no mi? I think we already have the answer:
So yeah, I think each member of the captain trio has DFs that are very relevant to the plot. Luffy and Law have the most relevant DFs, with the Nika fruit being Joyboy's DF and the Ope likely granting Imu and the gorosei immortality. But I still think that Kid's DF has some relevance in that it was likely instrumental in the creation of the AK's technologies.
I'd say in the final war, its possible that Kid will have a significant role in building and mass producing the various technologies rediscovered by Vegapunk and MADS. This will give the allies strong enough tech to rival the WG, ultimately leading to the revival of the AK.
