The SH crew has to significantly expand. Why? Because the expansion of the SH crew coincides with Luffy's growth as a pirate.
In the east blue, the SHs were just a ragtag group of friends. Then more people joined, and he became a super rookie. Then jinbe joined, giving Luffy 3 top commanders, signifying his growth from a rookie to a yonko.
However there is a difference between a yonko level crew and a PK level crew. And there is a difference between a PK level crew and a World Government level crew. For Luffy to surpass Imu, he can't have the crew of a mere yonko. Hence I shall detail what I presume will be all of the crew additions from here to the EoS.
Egghead:
- Bonney
Bonney has been looking for Nika. She is a Nika worshipper. She is able to mimic Luffy's techniques, just like how Shanks uses Roger's techniques. She is also of CD descent, just like Shanks. imo Bonney is going to join as Luffy's apprentice.
Elbaf/Lodestar:
- Yamato
- Momonosuke
Between these two arcs, Yamato and Momonosuke will join. Teach will invade wano to steal pluton, which will give the impetus for Yamato and Momo to rejoin Luffy. Momo, being only 8 years old, will be Luffy's apprentice, alongside Bonney. Momo and Bonney = Buggy and Shanks imo. Yamato will join as Momo's retainer. Luffy needs an equivalent of Oden on his crew if he is to surpass Roger. That is Yamato.
I think just like with the Roger pirates, Momonosuke and Bonney will stay behind as the SHs go to Laugh Tale. Yamato will go, however, as she would probably want to see what Oden saw.
Final War:
- Koby
As a member of SWORD, Koby can join the SHs undercover, just like Drake did. I think the WG will order him to take on such a mission. However he will ultimately end up fighting alongside Luffy in the final war.
Ultimately, the addition of these final crew members will give Luffy the strength he needs in order to defeat Imu and the Gorosei. Zoro and Sanji will obviously fight two Gorosei, probably Nusjuro and Ju Peter as they have the best portrayal. But what about the other 3? That's for the new SHs.
Koby vs Warcury has to happen. Warcury is the god of justice and Koby is a good marine.
Bonney will take out Saturn, likely with the help of S-Bear and possibly Momonosuke.
that leaves Yamato vs Mars.
Ultimately Luffy will end the series with 5 CoC users on his crew:
- Zoro
- Sanji
- Koby
- Yamato
- Bonney
Just like how Imu has the Gorosei, all who seem to be conquerors, Luffy will have those 5.
